Someone's turning 7. . .

Not sure if you are, but I know I'm not ready for this. . . Chloe turns 7 on February 7th.
Chloe and I sat down this evening and made her birthday invitations. . . the party sites were all "out of stock" of Monster High Invitations online.  I think they came out pretty good. . . there are a few more pictures than I would have done myself but I had to remind myself that these were Chloe's invitations, not mine.  :-)

We are holding her family birthday party Saturday, February 11th at 1:00pm.  Come celebrate the Birthday Girl at our new house. . . We will serve cake and ice cream.

And as an added bonus this year, since she has a nice little room she wants to show off and we have plenty of room to accommodate kids, Chloe get to have 2 or 3 friends spend the night Friday night!  These are the invitations her friends are getting. . .

2 week Update. . .

It's been a LONG two weeks and I'm so sorry for the lack of updates.  I've had a lot of things going on!!  Like kid/scout stuff and inventory stress at work.  Plus Jerry and I have had a lot of major decisions to make.  I've been wanting to update for days now, but my minds just not been into it.  Hopefully, I can get you caught up a little bit tonight.

Monday, July 18th
My littlest niece turned 4!!  Happy Birthday Emily!

Tuesday, July 19th
???  I have no idea what we did this day.

Wednesday, July 20th
I got to work and Jerry started spasing out my cell phone.  So when I got a chance to call him back, he had great news.  The Walmart Distribution Center called and they had a job position open and they needed my transfer request before 3pm.  I went straight to it and had my personnel office fax a copy of my transfer request to the DC.  However, according to my personnel manager, the fax wasn't going through.  {I feel she was sending to the wrong number on purpose because they got the first transfer request just fine.  But since that one was expired, I had to send another copy.  And since they had a position for me, all of a sudden the fax wouldn't work.  Very suspicious!!}

So after fighting the personnel office, I gave up, had them give me a copy of it and I drove it down to Harrisonville on my lunch break.  The personnel manager was very nice and took the time to talk to me.  It was a very positive meeting and she promised to call me by Monday.

Thursday, July 21st
After work, Jerry and I looked at a house that we wanted with a realtor.  We both really liked it and set things up for a meeting to make an offer.

Friday, July 22nd
It was a long day of shopping and packing for me!!  Chloe and I had Girl Scout Camp!!  I'm planning on sharing a bigger seperate post to this event so watch for it on another day!

Saturday, July 23rd
Girl Scout Camp ended at noon and when the parents arrived we had a short flag, awards, bridging ceremony!  The girls and I had a lot of fun; hopefully, next year will bring even better camping adventures!

After camp, we went to David's Bridal to pick up Joanna's wedding saches.  It was a long couple of days and I was happy to be home with my boys!!

Sunday, July 24th
Had a meeting with the Realtor to do house paperwork and make an offer.  We got a lot of good information from this meeting but also got a feeling that this house wasn't going to work out.

Jaxen learned to stand up in his crib!  And he decided to play instead of going to bed!!

Monday, July 25th
??? Besides going to work, I have no idea what we did this day.

Tuesday, July 26th
Jerry's 30th Birthday!!  It was a good day, we celebrated Daddy!!  He got spoiled with presents from the kids and ice cream cake.

But on his birthday, we got bad news from Realtor. . . the house that we made an offer to wasn't going to work. The seller actually decided not to sell at all. So back to square one on the house hunting. . . :-(

Wednesday, July 27th
Day before Inventory. . . worked 7am until 10pm {14 hours}.

I hadn't heard from the Walmart DC yet so I called them on the way to work.  The lady I needed to talk to wasn't in the office and they took a message for her to call me back.  14 minutes later, she called me back.  And the news was great. . . she was faxing me a job offer.  And let me tell you, it was a total shock because once my transfer request is sent and I job comes open, I am to be interviewed for the position and then offered a position.  I never got an interviewed, I skipped right to the job offer!  :-)

And truth be told, I was nevous about the job offer, ideally it is NOT what I want to be doing but it is a good raise and better hours/days off!  And the new position requires us to have a babysitter. . . because Jerry and I overlap by an hour and a half.  They offered me Frozen, Dairy, Deli Replisment Lift Driver working Saturday, Sunday, Monday from 4am until 3:30pm making $17.00 an hour (I only make $11.15 an hour now, working 7am - 4pm five days a week).  So roughly it's $340 more a paycheck working less days and hours!!

Jaxen's first taste of Chicken, too bad it was from a dog bone.  :-(
Jerry and I spent tons of time weighing the pros and cons of my job offer.  I hardly slept a wink. . . the stress of making the wrong choice was killing me.  I'm really good at supporting other when their plans don't go as planned but I'm not good at being the one to make those decisions!!

Thursday, July 28th
Walmart Inventory. . . worked 6:45am until 6:10pm {10.5 hours}.  And for my Walmart friends, our Inventory was .72 which was up from last years .57.  However, this year we were only a 9 month Inventory so it was going to happen.  The Toy department and Furniture department did better than years past, so that's all I'm worried about!!  In fact, it's the only numbers I can control!  So, Go me!

My sister-in-law called around 9pm and said she would help us out and watch the kids for us, so that I could accept  the job offer at the Distribution Center.  I didn't sleep at all!!  Still tossed and turned about my pending decision. . . didn't even eat dinner because I was stressing!

Friday, July 29th
Day after Inventory. . . worked 7am until 5:30pm {9.5 hours}.

After a lot of thinking and talking to friends and family, I accepted the job offer at DC.  I felt a thousand times better once the fax was sent. . . I am going to miss my friends and job now but I think in the long term I will be successful and happier at the Distribution Center. . . sure my weekends are gone, but I get to spend 4 whole days off with my husband and kids!!  Jerry and I get NO days off together unless I take a day off during the week.

Saturday, July 30th
Today, I've relaxed and watched "Bring It On" movies with Chloe.  She's really into cheerleading, tomorrow's the day we go register her for cheerleading.  I'm nervous as to what her schedule and my new working schedule will bring us, but like all things we will take it all one step at a time!

So sorry

Ahh!  Look at that it's been 10 days since I've blogged!  I feel so ashamed. . . I really thought about it a couple of times in the last 10 days, but I've always found something else that required my attention more.  And as you can imagine, 3 kids are keeping me hopping, and I love it!  :o)

Jaxen is still as wonderful as can be.  I love him more and more every day!  He's finally got the smiling down!  And I am totally jealous that he loves smiling at Chloe.  She can get him to smile most of the time, it's so stinkin' adorable!  I've only been able to capture his smile on my cell phone, because when I pull out the big camera he get serious and stares at it like, "What's that?!"  I'll have to work more on getting him used to the big camera. . . then maybe he won't stare at it!  And with the smile come laughter. . . It's not all the way laughing yet.  Mainly because I think when he starts laughing he scares himself.  I can't wait to hear Jaxen's laughter!

Jax is starting to sleep more consistently.  As long as he's in his crib and goes down with a clean diaper and a full belly, he will sleep through the night. . .11pm - 7am.  He won't sleep long stretches like that in his playpen. So now that I got him sleep trained for nighttime. . . I need to get my body back on track to going to bed earlier than 2am!  Especially now that I have to go back to work!!

Chloe and Jacob are still their lovable, loud, crazy selves.  Jacob is getting really close to completely being out of diapers. . . I think some time this week or definitely next weekend, I'm going to try potty training him at night.  He thinks he's ready for no diaper at night, but occasionally he has a wet diaper in the morning.  But I think cold turkey is going to be the best chance we have to getting him completely diaper free.

Chloe's birthday party is Tuesday night at the bowling alley.  Since we didn't get to have a family party for her this year, she and 9 friends get to bowl for 2 hours Tuesday night.  She is so excited and I hope she has a lot of fun!  :o)  I made the cake and have most of the stuff packed up, I just can't forget to take my camera!!

Well, I hate to cut this short but Jaxen is asleep and I have to work in the morning, so I am going to get off of here and *try* to get some good sleep tonight.  I've uploaded picture in the picasa web album for you to take a look at.  Hopefully, once I get the "working" mother of three routine down I can update more often!!  Until next time!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AUNT KAREY!!!  WE LOVE YOU!!!

Hello, Again.

I've been away for so long, I have no idea where to start.  Literally, there are thousands of things I could write about because it's been an extremely busy two weeks. . . but sadly, I doubt I have that much time!  So lets see if I can just highlight the last couple of weeks.

Monday, February 7th - Chloe's 6th Birthday!!  Can you believe that she's already SIX?!  Planned our trip to Iowa for Great Grandma's funeral and Michelle's Wedding.  I spent most of the morning on the phone rescheduling appointments, contacting Chloe's school and paying all the bills.  Joanna and Caleb came over that night to give Chloe her Birthday presents and pick up my packed luggage. . . we needed all the room in the car that we could get - had to take 3 dogs to Iowa with us.

Tuesday, February 8th - We got 4.5 more inches of snow!!  Mother nature was trying to ruin our plans. . . It was bitterly cold outside, so I went to the re-scheduled Wic Appointment by myself.

Wednesday, February 9th - I had a doctor's appointment at 9:40am.  Once again it was cold outside so I went alone.  After my appointment, I dropped my Girl Scout Cookie money off at my sister-in-law's house to turn in for me.  Then I went and picked up a few things at Walmart and got my hair cut.  When I got back home, I packed up the car and talked to the post office.  I had a package that was suppose to get delivered this day and it hadn't arrived before we were ready to leave, so I wanted them to hold the package until Monday - not leave it on my porch.  We waited for Chloe to get home, but before we could get out of town I had to go back to Walmart and get cat food!  Officially we were on the road around 3:30pm.  Trip was very uneventful, kids were good and dogs behaved.  Arrived in Davenport around 10pm.

Thursday, February 10th - Spent the morning hanging out and catching up with family.  Great Grandma's visitation was from 3:30 - 8pm.  Afterwards we had Rudy's for dinner!!

Friday, February 11th - Great Grandma's funeral was at 11:30am, followed by a huge family lunch/get-together at church.  Went back to Grandma's house to hang out until Michelle's Wedding Rehearsal at 6pm.  Jerry and I took the kids, Aunt Karey and Joanna to dinner at Reife's!!  Had to have my Hollywood burger and chili fix!  After dinner, we dropped Jerry and the kids off at the house and us girl's went out with Michelle to help her celebrate her last night as a single lady!  We had a blast but I was really ready for bed when we got home!!

Saturday, February 12th - Michelle's wedding day!  There was tons to do and thousands pictures to take!!  It was a good celebration after the two previous and emotional days.  It was so nice to see the family come together and setup/take down the wedding details.  Michelle and Dave didn't have to worry about a thing!  After the wedding we all went back to Grandma's house and had Taco John's Pizza. . . Yay!  Also, Joanna, Mom and I order Joanna and Caleb's Save the Date Magnets!  Got Whitey's Ice Cream on the way back to Aunt Karey's house.

Sunday, February 13th - The long drive home to Missouri. . . got home around 5:30pm.  Unpacked and got ready for the school week.

Monday, February 14th - Valentine's Day!  Jerry let me sleep in - I really needed it after chasing after 3 kids all weekend.  I finally got moving around the house just in time for Chloe's Valentine's Day party at school. . . Jerry had to work this night so the kids and I hung out around the house before bed.

Tuesday, February 15th - Had dinner with Joylynn and the kids. . . Loretta turned 5!!  It was so fun hanging out and letting the kids play.  Definitely going to hang out more often.  Went to Walmart before heading home for milk and lunchables.  Late night for us, Chloe wasn't in bed until 10pm.

Wednesday, February 16th - Nothing major happened. . . just hung out.  Work called and wanted to know when I was coming back . . . LOL!  And it was a Girl Scout night - my girls and I are all ready for Thinking Day on Saturday!!  So excited!!

Thursday, February 17th - Today was beautiful!!  77 degrees outside.  Jaxen had his doctor's appointment at 9am, he weighed in at 11 pounds, 7 ounces (50%) and was 22.5 inches long (65%).  Took the car to the car wash and totally washed and vacuumed every inch of the car!  Hated having to take the dogs to Iowa because it's so hard to remove the dog hair out of the carpet!!  Afterwards we went to Walmart and turned in my return to work release, official day back to work is Monday, February 28th.  Once Chloe got home we relaxed for a little while and then took the kids across the street and let them ride their bikes that Santa brought them!  Came home and grilled dinner on the grill. . . it was perfect!

HaHa!  Not bad remembering all that!!  I'm totally impressed that I remember all the food we ate and when we ate it!  LOL

Update - 22w1d

It's Patriot Day!  Today on the Anniversary of September 11th, we are silently remembering those victims who lost their lives 9 years ago.  I can't believe it's been 9 years. . . my life has changed so much since that day.  Nine years ago, if I had to guess where I would be now. . . I don't think I would have even come close to my reality.  And thankfully so, I love everything about our lives now, it's been a heck of a ride.  But everything we've been through has made us the family that we are today.  And I'm sure if I sit here and think of everything the next 9 years will bring me, it will only be a drop in the bucket as to what is to come.  Probably a lot of laughter, a lot of tears, a lot of work and a lot of play. . . in the end it will be exactly was it's meant to be.

Today is also a good day on the pregnancy front.  **Baby Update - Today Mommy is 22 weeks and 1 day pregnant.  Only 125 days to go!  Woo-hoo!  The grow must go on! No wonder you’re getting so big, you’re now housing a wonder-baby who weighs nearly a pound and measures nearly a foot in length. Their perfect little pancreas is now further developed and they’ve also started producing their own hormones! Your baby's future in the circus as a world-famous tight-rope-walker is secure: their inner ear is now developed to the point that they have their own sense of balance. Lucky for your little explorer, balance also promotes physical dexterity, which has them actively feeling out their surroundings where skin, body parts, and the resident umbilical cord are the big sensory experiences. Your foot-long baby, is looking a bit like an oversized raisin right now as more and more wrinkles are showing up each week. Not to worry, all that excessive wrinkling is just their skin’s way of planning ahead for the time when they’ll start piling on that irresistible baby chub.**  My next doctor's appointment is on Friday.  It should be just a routine - weight, blood pressure, and questions - kind of appointment.  I can't see it taking too long.  But I do get to bring home that dreaded glucose drink for my next appointment when I have to drink it before I go.  I hate that test. . . as most of you already know, I nearly failed it with Jacob.  I am hoping I can do a little better this time. . . so that I only have to take the test once!

Sorry for the lack of updates lately, it's been a dreadfully busy week.  My 28th Birthday was last Tuesday, September 7th.  Even though I had to work, I had a pretty awesome day.  Jerry, Chloe, and Jacob took good care of me and we had a nice relaxing evening at home.  We had leftovers so that I didn't have to cook or have too many dishes.  Then on Wednesday, I had Girl Scout Training and a Service Unit Meeting to attend. . . it was kinda boring without Mom and Stacy sitting on either side of me making me laugh!  Oh well I have still have 2 more leader trainings to do and cookie training.  Then I am 100% caught back up with my Girl Scout Training. . . like I could have forgotten any of it.

I think that's about all the updates I have, once the kids get in bed I plan on taking a couple more baby belly pictures. . . so I'll post them when I take them.  I "think" I'm getting bigger, but nobody else thinks that way.  We will know for sure on Friday. . . we will see if I gained the 5 to 10 pounds she wanted me to.  My guess it no.

Happy 3rd Birthday, Jacob!!

Three years ago today, Jerry and I were blessed with a perfect baby boy! Weighting 7 pounds 11 ounces, Jacob Alexander Daily was born at 8:01am on Tuesday, August 28, 2007.  He has kept us on our toes since day one and only changed our lives for the better.  Today we celebrated Jacob - just like we did three years ago. . .

. . . when our family of three became a family of four!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today was absolutely perfect.  Jerry and I got up bright and early to finish cleaning and vacuuming before the kids got up.  My family was coming over to the house for a visit before Jacob's big birthday party.  Grandma didn't want to share the birthday boy with everyone else.  LOL.  Jerry and I cleaned and got the last minute things together for his party while the kids ate breakfast and watched cartoons.  After Chloe and I wrapped Jacob's birthday presents, we let him open one to keep him occupied while we were waiting for the family.
When the family got here we had a house full!  Grandma, Grandpa, Great Grandma Kay, Aunt Karey, Michelle, Dave (Michelle's Boyfriend), Aunt Joanna, Caleb, Aunt Amanda, Jeremy, and of course us 4 - Mommy, Daddy, Chloe and Jacob.  We had a blast together, conversation was good, laughter was hard and the food was great.  I love days like this!
By the time everyone left, Jerry and I packed the car and headed to the park for Jacob's party.  It was fun and Jacob had a blast!  I had a lot more stuff planned than we actually did, but the kids were having fun just playing together.  They don't all get together that often, so it was nice to let them have a good time.  We had hot dogs, chips, a semi-melted cake, and lemonaid.  We sung to Jacob, let him open presents and what party is complete without a pinata!  It was a beautiful day for an outside party, the shelter house was covered and the playground equipment was shaded, and a nice breeze was blowing.  It was getting dark when we finally left - kids got to play together for about 3 hours.  I don't know about everyone elses but my kids passed out hard when we finally got them in bed!
The dishes and cleaning will have to wait until tomorrow, tonight I'm going to spend it with my feet up and snuggled up with Jerry.  It's been a long, exciting day for us.  Goodnight!
