Happy Valentine's Day!!

Let's start off on a good note. . . Happy Valentine's Day!!!  Not too much is going on around here this week.  I have something to do every day but I've had weeks where I had tons to do each day!

This afternoon is Chloe's Valentine's Party at school.  I hope I remember to bring my camera and that will be a different post all together.  Yesterday, her and I made goodies bags for her class.  I think they turned out pretty awesome!  :-)

Tomorrow, is Girl Scout Day for me.  And Jerry is going to call around and see if he can get the rest of the things we are missing to get our taxes done.  With the move at the end of December. . . I am certain we received everything, but I can't seem to locate a few important items.  So hopefully, next week we will be able to go get our taxes done. . . weather permitting of course!!  We remember last year when Jerry rolled the Explorer.

Thursday is my doctor's appointment.  I am hoping it doesn't take all day and that we hear nothing but awesome news.  This is kind of the turning point - past halfway - where things can start getting iffy.  I try not to think about it too much because it stresses me out, but then I am trying to really pay attention to see if maybe I can tell when somethings up.  I really don't want to have this baby following in his brother's footsteps with an early/scary arrival!

I have nothing planned on Friday.  Nothing at all. = )  I hope it stays that way.  I missed work last weekend because of sick children and I am sure I'll pay for it next weekend.  = (  {Oh, and heads up.  I doubt I'll be considered for the position, but I signed up for an office job working the same shift I currently work in the Traffic Receiving Office.  A lot of others signed up, but I am just looking for something that will allow me to work as long as possible without so much heavy lifting.  That was you FYI, just in case I mention it in a later post.}

Saturday night after all our party guest left and it was just me and the kids. . . The boys' cough took a turn for the worse.  Jaxen spiked a fever and was cranky and miserable.  Jacob was up all night crying / whining / driving me nuts!  SO after being up with two sick, fever running, horrible coughing little boys until 1:30am - I stayed home to get some sleep myself.  Jerry didn't think I would be very safe drive a forklift on an hours worth of sleep!  Plus with me home I was able to dose them with medicine every 4 - 6 hours while Jerry got some sleep.  Jacob was the first to break his fever and thankfully Chloe never got more than the cough.  Jaxen had me running to the store for more medicine Sunday because Tylenol would not break his 102.0 fever.  Finally, after a bath and Motrin - we were able to start seeing a difference in his fever.  And after a dose of Motrin, he was able to eat and play for about 30 - 60 minutes before crashing back to the moping around then house.

Jaxen slept most of the weekend away and he really needed to.  But every time the Motrin wore off his fever would spike again.  So I stayed home Monday too - since I could get paid my sick pay.  And it wasn't until Monday afternoon that I was able to get rid of the fever completely.  He still gets cranky really fast, so I am keeping him on Tylenol.  But he is eating and playing again for longer periods of time.  I'm sure it will just take time to get him back to his old self.

Well that's it for me.  I have to finish paying the bills - what I originally sat down at the computer to do!  Then it's time to see if I can get the darn cat out of the tree.  = \

Let Freedom Ring!

4th of July Pictures, Graphics, Images, CommentsHappy 4th of July!!
It's been a beautiful day!!  It's hot as heck outside but we've been having a blast!  Jerry surprised us all and got the day off of work!  The kids and I were so happy!  (I took them outside last night, but I am a total chicken when it comes to fireworks and my kids - so we stayed with the little things little Morning Glories and Smoke Bombs.  Our neighbor's were out and help Chloe and Jacob shoot off some fun stuff for a while.  Sp that was nice of him)  But now that Daddy's home tonight we will get to shoot off the more exciting stuff, like strobes, Roman Candles, and those crazy bumble bees that set my hair on fire a few years back!!  The kids are ready for nightfall!!  I'm so happy that they are okay with staying home and shooting their own stuff off instead of traveling to a fireworks display around here where it's going to be busy and crazy!  (Although, we are thinking about going into Harrisonville to watch there fireworks show, my neighbor's said it was AWESOME last year.  The neighborhood as been setting things off all day long, I can only imagine what tonight will bring.  My poor dogs are already going crazy!  Lol.

This morning we grilled out for lunch (because I still thought Jerry had to work tonight), I made soy chicken, potato salad, and corn.  It was delicious!!  The chicken marinated for 2 days, I was in heaven!!  Even Chloe and Jacob loved the chicken and believe me, it's hard to get them to eat meat period.

After lunch we headed off to the fireworks stand to buy some fun stuff for tonight.  It's so fun going to one of them, my husband and kids are in heaven!  I am so glad we only go in there with x amount of money because we could easily spend a whole heck of a lot!!  :o)

Here's my little firecracker ready to watch. . .

I hope everyone is having a wonderful time!!  I'm sure I will have more to update after the fun tonight, so keep an eye out for more pictures.  I have to work 3 days - and then I'm off for 3 more!!  So with this update I leave you with a picture of my kids.  Happy Independence Day!!

Happy Memorial Day!

Happy Memorial Day! ♥ ♥ ♥  Today we had beautiful weather!  Chloe and I lined our driveway with small American Flags.  I served as a great remember that today was not about BBQ's and a day off of work.  It's about our service men and women who keep us safe and make this a beautiful country!  My kids are still a little young to grasp the entire meaning of Memorial Day but they do know that we are all about the good ol' USA.  Freedom is definitely not free - Do not forget the past and the sacrifices that have brought us here today.  Thank you troops for serving this country and keeping us safe!

A Memorial Day nap for Jaxen!
Today was a wonderful day for my family.  Jerry slept the morning away - having worked all night - but he did get up and spend some time with me and the kids before he had to go to work this evening.  This morning, while Jerry was sleeping, the kids and I went grocery shopping.  I had to get some lunch and snack foods in the house now that Chloe is home during the day!  I had a great time with the kids and after about 2 hours in Walmart, we left with most of my sanity intact!

I can't believe how big he's getting. . . it feels like he should start crawling any day now.

Everything goes into his mouth!
The best part about today was spending it at home with the kids.  I got a few things done around the house, but mainly I just played with my babies. . .

Then to top the day off, look what I caught Jaxen doing this evening while I was folding laundry. . .

Yet another milestone reached for Mr. Jaxen.  I am so proud of him but it feels like he is growing up twice as fast as the other two!  I would give anything to have him slow down a little bit!

Sitting Up!
I hope your Memorial Day was as good as mine!  Tomorrow it's back to the grown up world for me. . . Boo!  ♥ Love to all of you!

Mother's Day 2011

Happy Mother's Day to all my friends and family!!  Being a mom is the most wonderful thing in the world but it is also the hardest jobs ever! You are all amazing, I am so blessed to have you all as role models!!
Jaxen's first Mother's Day!!
Today we haven't done much of anything.  Just layed around watching TV and hanging out.  I did cut the grass this morning and water the plants.  Kids had fun playing outside while I was tending to the yard chores.  I took pictures of all the plants that we planted last week.  The rainy weather we've had the last week has really helped them grow. . . and today brought tons of sunshine.  Can't complain about the weather today, it's almost too hot.  Poor Jaxen couldn't get a good nap in because he was sweating. . . hopefully once the sunsets a little it breeze will make him feel better.  Little guy just isn't used to the hot weather.

Jerry had to do school work and go to work this afternoon, so I put dinner in the crock pot.  Nothing fancy, just cream cheese chicken -- it's exactly what I wanted!!  In fact, it's so good, I burnt my mouth on the food because I just couldn't wait for it to cool off!!  That's how good it was!!

Other than enjoying the kids, enjoying the weather, and eating good - I've been able to sit back and watch Army Wives and cross stitch all afternoon!  But unfortunately, it's Sunday evening. . . Mother's Day or not. . . means bath time, trash time, and Mt Laundry!  I'm hoping the weather stays nice so that we can make a trip to the Zoo as a family!!!

Happy Easter 2011

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend.  We sure did around here.  And we really didn't do anything fancy, which was exactly what this family needed.  After the last week, which we had something going on every single day. . . a weekend of rest was definitely what the Mommy ordered.

I didn't sleep to well last night, I was up until 3am.  So Jerry was in charge of hiding the Easter Eggs this morning when he got home.  I got the baskets set out before I went to bed, but I didn't have enough energy at 6am to hide the eggs.  Jerry did a great job hiding the Easter Eggs, not too hard and not too easy.

At 8:30, Chloe was the first one of the kids up.  And since she was chomping at the bit, Jerry went ahead and woke Jacob.  But the party couldn't start without Jaxen and I.  We were the last ones awake but definitely not by much.  By 9:30, the kids had found and opened everything and Jerry was headed to bed.

Since then Chloe and Jacob have colored and played and enjoyed a day together.  I am quite happy with them today.  Both of them got along pretty well, while Jaxen and I napped for a few hours.  But my nap was cut short when Jake got hungry.  So I made our annual Easter Egg Salad for lunch.  It was colorfully delicious!

Now it's Sunday evening again and another week sits on the horizon.  Another crazy busy week that I'm not looking forward to.  I have a lot of Girl Scout Training this week on top of my work schedule and other weekly duties.  But once next Sunday rolls around, I will be done with my outdoor training.  Only thing left will be the Brownie Training I need for next year.

I've uploaded a lot of picture over the last couple of days, so if you haven't already head over to my picasa web album and take a peek.  https://picasaweb.google.com/dailyplanet04

Bunny and Bruises

We took the kids to see the Easter Bunny at Walmart today, since we won't be in town next weekend.  It was a lot of fun!  I don't have the pictures yet, because I didn't want to wait around for a couple hours.  I will make sure I post them on Monday after work.  I got one picture will all three kids and then a picture of just Jaxen and the Easter Bunny for his baby book.

While we were at Walmart, Jacob was so excited to see the Easter Bunny that he totally ran towards the bunny but forgot to pick up his feet, tripped and hit his head on the concrete floor!  We had to let the next group of kids behind us go while we got Jacob to stop crying.  He really hit his head hard. . . he has a big goose egg on his forehead and around his eye is a little swollen.  Hopefully, it won't turn black and blue.  Oh well, he's definitely a boy and he bounced.  Had it been Chloe, she'd still be crying about it.

The weather is beautiful!!  We have the windows open and the fresh air whipping through the house!!  I've cleaned the bird cage, vacuumed the carpets, started the dishwasher, and finished a load of laundry.  I still want to mop the kitchen floor and clean out the dogs room since I can open the big window and let it all air out. . . I hate the smell of bleach in a closed up house!  Also some time today or tomorrow, the kids and I are getting outside and cleaning out the garage!!  I'm so ready for winter to be gone for good.  But unfortunately, it's going to cool off again for a few days.  That's when I plan on packing to next weekends trip, but while the weather is nice, we are spring cleaning around here.

Here's how our week looks:
  • Monday - Work for Heidi & Jerry / School for Chloe
  • Tuesday - Heidi & Jerry (and the boys) to Warsaw / School for Chloe
  • Wednesday - Jacob & Heidi have a Wic Appt / Heidi work & Chloe School / Heidi & Chloe Girl Scouts
  • Thursday - Heidi work / Chloe school / Parenting Seminar at Chloe's school from 630-8
  • Friday - I have the day off to pack for Iowa. . . as soon as Chloe gets off the bus, we are Iowa bound!!
  • Saturday - Amanda's Baby Shower & Joanna's Bridal Shower
  • Sunday - Traveling back home. . . and getting ready for the upcoming week.
Whew!  I'm going to be a busy Momma this week.  I also have a few 'special projects' I need to get done before headed to Iowa next weekend. . . we will see how much I can multi-task!!  LOL

It's Christmas!!

Christmas morning was layed back and relaxed around here.  Jerry and I were up with Jaxen way before the other two decided to make an appearance.  Fresh cinnamon rolls were cooking when Chloe came down the stairs just after 8am and we woke Jacob up shortly after that.  They opened their stockings and ate their breakfast and then we opened presents.

Kid's were good this year and we had a lot of fun opening presents with them.  After everything was unwrapped, we started opening things.  Trash goes out on Sunday night, so we needed to get the trash rounded up so that it didn't sit around all week.  It was about 1pm or after when we were finally packed up and ready to go to Grandma and Grandpa's house.

The trip was good, Jaxen slept the entire way and the other two watched tv.  Jaxen got to meet Grandpa, Aunt Amanda and Jeremy for the first time.  Grandma fixed a great dinner - turkey and all the fixings!!  It was absolutely delicious. . . Just wish I got to keep the leftovers!!  We had tons of fun in Cole Camp - complete with presents, food, and a Nerf Gun fight!

I hope your Christmas was filled with fun and laughter!!
