New Phones!!
Yay!! I'm so excited. . . I got a new phone today - I'm still waiting for my number to transfer; hopefully, by tomorrow my new one will work!! {Last time it took 5 days to transfer my phone number.} Jerry, however, walked out of there with a new, working phone since he didn't have one before and got a new number. {If you need or want his number, text message me and I'll send it to you.}
Our new phones are Motorola Cliq XT with MotoBlur. It's amazing, it's Motorola's version of the iPhone. I absolutely LOVE it!! I can do everything - call, text, pictures, video, facebook, Msn Messenger, Picasa Web Albums, and even BLOG on the go!! {Can you tell I'm excited?!?!?} So it basically replaces my phone, camera, video camera and computer!
The only down side is that I do not get cell service at my house. Boo! But I guess that's what I get for country living. So once the new phone activates, my old one will quite working and you'll have to call if you need me instead of texting. Or there is always facebook!!
Girl Scout Camp Part #1
I survived part #1 of Girl Scout Camp!! Chloe and I had a blast!! Okay, EVERYONE had a blast. The girls were not ready to clean up and go home once 3pm rolled around. They are all super excited to return in two weeks to actually stay the night! I'm sure that will be a whole other experience but one that I am excited for. I took as many pictures as I could. There are several things I missed, like the flag ceremony, because I was part of it. . . not a bystander. Since I have so many, I'll tell you the highlights in pictures!
We had 5 out of 7 girls show up to camp, and in all reality Miss Cynthia and I had to get them all there. Most parents had to work on Friday, which is understandable, but two days before I was calling parents to find out how many girls I would have and majority couldn't come unless they had a ride. So Miss Cynthia and I squeezed and tugged and got all the equipment and girls into 2 vehicles. I was a little annoyed with the situation but it was all worth it. . . these girls had fun!!!
The campsite was awesome. The weather was suppose to be 88 degrees with a heat index of 94 degrees. Add in the Missouri humidity and it was suppose to be miserable. I packed tons of water and ice, I figured I would have a hard time keeping the girls cool.
The campsite was so shaded that none of us broke a sweat. The only time I got extra warm was when Chloe and I walked all the girls down the hill to meet parents and then back up the monstrous hill. I got pretty lucky with our campsite. Check it out. . .
For lunch we had hot dogs and chips. Each girl at 2 hot dogs and a least one bag of chips - if not two! I used a cool way to start a chemical-free fire with a bag of Doritos and some charcoal. Lunch was delicious.
And if our campsite wasn't already amazing, it came with a tree house. . .
The girls were ecstatic when they came across the tree house meeting place. I totally knew it was there the entire time. . . **wink, wink**
After making Sit-Upons, First Aid Kits, and Bandanna's, learning a flag ceremony, the buddy system, rules of camp, and all kinds of FUN. . . the girls DID NOT want to go home. But alas, it was time to clean up and pack the car.
Another lesson learned. . . A Girl Scout always leaves a place better than the found it!
Overall, me and my girl had an amazing time.
We even had to stop for a train on the way home!! The train was going a million miles an hour, I was surprised I got this shot!!
July 22nd is our first official overnight trip. . . Be sure to check out all the pictures from camp on my Picasa Web Album.
Chloe making her very first sit-upon.
Making the sit-upon was the activity that most of the girls were excited about. Every girl scout must have a sit-upon!! They all turned out great. See, here's the girls using them. . . :o)

It was interesting, but I FINALLY got the rope in the tree to have a flag ceremony. Couldn't do it perfectly because we didn't have enough hands but we made it work and the girls enjoyed honoring the flag with the Pledge of Allegiance and the Girl Scout Promise.
This is one of my favorite photos of camp. So simple and beautiful.

Let Freedom Ring!
It's been a beautiful day!! It's hot as heck outside but we've been having a blast! Jerry surprised us all and got the day off of work! The kids and I were so happy! (I took them outside last night, but I am a total chicken when it comes to fireworks and my kids - so we stayed with the little things little Morning Glories and Smoke Bombs. Our neighbor's were out and help Chloe and Jacob shoot off some fun stuff for a while. Sp that was nice of him) But now that Daddy's home tonight we will get to shoot off the more exciting stuff, like strobes, Roman Candles, and those crazy bumble bees that set my hair on fire a few years back!! The kids are ready for nightfall!! I'm so happy that they are okay with staying home and shooting their own stuff off instead of traveling to a fireworks display around here where it's going to be busy and crazy! (Although, we are thinking about going into Harrisonville to watch there fireworks show, my neighbor's said it was AWESOME last year. The neighborhood as been setting things off all day long, I can only imagine what tonight will bring. My poor dogs are already going crazy! Lol.
This morning we grilled out for lunch (because I still thought Jerry had to work tonight), I made soy chicken, potato salad, and corn. It was delicious!! The chicken marinated for 2 days, I was in heaven!! Even Chloe and Jacob loved the chicken and believe me, it's hard to get them to eat meat period.
After lunch we headed off to the fireworks stand to buy some fun stuff for tonight. It's so fun going to one of them, my husband and kids are in heaven! I am so glad we only go in there with x amount of money because we could easily spend a whole heck of a lot!! :o)
Here's my little firecracker ready to watch. . .
Jacob and Daddy
Jacob and Chloe
Watching Daddy. . .
Chloe lighting a smoke bomb.
Jaxen's first 4th of July!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful time!! I'm sure I will have more to update after the fun tonight, so keep an eye out for more pictures. I have to work 3 days - and then I'm off for 3 more!! So with this update I leave you with a picture of my kids. Happy Independence Day!!

Saturday Whatnots
Dang! It's been another routine week here at the Daily Ranch. Really nothing exciting to report! I have no idea what we did this week... I can't even begin to give you a day to day update!
Monday 27th - I know I didn't get to bed until really late Sunday night - In fact, I seen 3am Monday! I couldn't sleep, it's that way now, I can't seem to sleep if Jerry isn't home. I stayed up late on the computer getting everything finished up for Girl Scout camp. I ordered my patches and the rest of the craft projects that we needed. When I finally got to sleep, I basically had to get up and go to work. I knew it was going to be hell. . . it's always hell on Monday. . . and even worse after a 5 day vacation!
Tuesday 28th - I don't remember anything. . . my facebook quote was: I have had a, "I'd really like to punch you in the face" kind of day. I'm thinkin' that pretty much explains the day! :o)
Wednesday 29th - Wednesday must have been just as good as Tuesday because I didn't even write a facebook status!
Thursday 30th - *Happy Anniversary to Aunt Karey and Uncle Alan!* Ah, Thursday. Thursday was a toughie. I had to work and Jerry had a seminar he went to with a friend from work. I didn't want him to go because I had a horrible, exhausting day and just wanted to curl up and sleep!! But he went and was gone the whole evening. My facebook page said: Ugh. I'm mentally done with this day... I was exhausted once I got the kids put down, I barely remember Jerry coming home.
Friday 1st - I was SO glad to leave work. I came home from work with a HUGE stress headache. I had put a pork roast in the crock pot the night before so we could have a nice family meal. I barely got to enjoy it because my headache made me nauseous. I fought the headache all night but I was able to get some quality family time in outside. . . Chloe and Jacob chalked on the sidewalk, Jaxen sat in his strolled watching, Jerry weeded and weed-eated the yard, and I mowed the grass. After the yard work, we let the kids ride their bikes until the street lights came on and then we all loaded up in the car and got some Dairy Queen!
Saturday 2nd - Today's been weird. My Dad called and asked us to look around in junk yards for a spare tire for his truck. Most places closed early today because of the Holiday weekend. . . so we ran around to 2 different auto salvage places to check out their lots. Of course, we didn't find anything useful. On the way home we had Burger King for lunch and stopped by Price Chopper for sodas. We've been home ever since, just chillin'. Kids have played games, watched movies and I have gotten some Girl Scout financial forms finished up and ready to mail. All-in-all it's been a good day. I need to finish some things up around here. Jaxen just went to bed. And the kids and I are going to Grandma and Grandpa's house in the morning to pick up somethings I need for Girl Scout camp and get a little swimming in!

Jaxen got his first taste of "real" food. We gave him a small plate of crock pot cooked potatoes. . . he loved it!! He was so excited just to lay in it! It was fun watching him explore the feeling and texture. I was able to get a few pieces in his mouth, but for the most part all we did is play in it and throw the plate on the floor.

**D*a*Y* *O*n*E** - Wednesday, June 22
The day was suppose to start off with a 9am oil change, but that never happened. We slept in and totally missed the appointment. Which isn't a bad thing! We all got some much needed sleep. But after a late start, we ended up at Harrisonville City Park. The kids got a lot of exercise and released a lot of energy running around the playground.
We only stayed at the park for a couple hours, before we headed off to Walmart to pick up some groceries for dinner. And once we got home, it was dinner and Girl Scouts for Chloe and I. It was our last meeting of the year. . . next time is camping!! Yay!
After Girl Scouts and the kids' bedtime, Jerry & I watched a movie together. It was "Just Go With It" with Adam Sandler, Jennifer Anisten, and Nicole Kidman. Hilarious movie!! I was dead tired and I stayed awake through the entire thing! I'd watch it a hundred times over.
**D*a*Y* *T*w*O** - Thursday, June 23
The started off at 9:30am, again, a little later than it should have but we were all tired!! After we all got feed and dressed, off we went to the Kansas City Zoo! Jerry and I renewed our Friends of the Zoo (FOTZ) Membership - this time making it Platinum because of the unlimited Train, Tram, Carousel, Boat and Sky Lift! Basically, the kids can do whatever they want when we go to the zoo. Plus, Jerry and I can take up to 6 kids (Jaxen doesn't count) to the zoo for free with the unlimited rides. :o) So excited, the zoo is one of the kids' favorite places and now it can be Jaxen's too!
We had to leave the Zoo early because Jaxen had a well-baby check up that I've already rescheduled twice! And we were running too late to take Jerry and the older two home so they dropped Jaxen and I off at the doctor's office and went and got some Burger King. Then they sat out in the car eating and watching a movie! Jaxen's appointment went well. He got 2 more shots! :o( And he weighed in at 17 pounds 8 ounces and he was 26 inches tall. Everything seems perfect! The concerns that I had regarding his circumcision and breathing were put to rest, everything is fine and normal. He's belly button hernia is going away slowly and we strengthened his neck muscles because he's able to turn his head in all directions! In short a perfectly healthy baby boy!! :o)
After a quick trip to Walmart for Tee Ball snacks and drinks, off to the ball field we went! Chloe's last game of the season. . . kinda sad that's she's played her last tee ball game. Next year it will be coach's pitch, which she is nervous about. But I'm thinking she needs to at least try it. . . who knows she could be awesome at it! So that's all the updates I'll have about tee ball this year, I'm sad to see the season over.
After tee ball we went out to dinner with Joanna, Caleb and Sam - they had come to see Chloe play. It was a lot of very interesting conversations and some great laughs!! The things my kids say! I'm sure Joanna, Caleb and Sam will be laughing for days!! :o) After dinner, we came home to rest and play. Jaxen was getting cranky - I gave him some Tylenol and juice and off to bed he went!! Jerry and I watched another movie together, this time it was "The Dilemma" with Vince Vaughn and Kevin James. I didn't like it as much as Jerry did, but it did have some funny moments!
**D*a*Y* *T*h*R*e*E** - Friday, June 24
Once again the morning got off to a late start. . . hehe, but what else is vacation for?!?! Everyone was up, dressed and ready to go by 1:15pm, so we were able to make the 1:40 showing of Cars 2! We had to d-r-a-g Chloe to the movies because she didn't want to watch Cars 2! (But I quickly reminded her that Jacob is made to go to Girl Scouts and the Tee Ball Field - even if he doesn't want too!) The movie was absolutely terrific! Both kids walked out of the movie theaters happy with the movie. It was officially Jaxen's first movie in the movie theaters and he slept about 80% of the time. But I didn't mind since I was then able to enjoy the movie.
After the movie, we came home to change into our bathin' suits and off to the Harrisonville Aquatic Center! The kids have never been there and it was SO much fun. We went for the Family Swim, 5p - 7p and it was only $9 for all of us. Not bad for the facility. It has a huge kid jungle gym that Chloe and Jacob loved!! There were sadden when the pool attendant said the pool was closing. The big kid side of the pool has 2 diving boards and 2 water slides. Chloe really wanted to go down the big slides but we told her that she had to learn to swim first. The best part of the Aquatic Center was the amount of lifeguards! There were about 7 to 9 lifeguards at all times. . . I would feel comfortable taking the kids there by myself. It was a really nice facility and we will definitely be back!!
Dinner from KFC ended another amazing day and the kids were totally wore out!! :o)
**D*a*Y* *F*o*U*r** - Saturday, June 25
Saturday's plans were ruined because Momma got sick during the night. It was awful. . . I couldn't sleep, tossed and turned, getting up every hour or so to get sick, coming back to bed with the chills and running a fever. I felt horrible and I am so glad I don't get sick very often. I kept Jerry up most of the night worried about me. . . he was trying to be helpful but I just wanted him to leave me alone and stop moving the bed! I eventually got to sleep, not sure of the time but it was after 3am. Jerry got up with the babies and let me sleep. The alarm went off around 9a and I was still feeling icky. I got a drink and went back to sleep. I slept off and on until about 1pm, when I was feeling a little better and finally decided it was time to brave the day.
Once I was up and about, Jerry headed in to nap since he had to return to work tonight. So the kids and I hung out and watched movies from the couch. Jaxen's was a little cranky and also running an low grade fever. I don't think he's sick-sick. I think it's a combination from his shots (which still have his legs red and swollen) and teething. The kid is drooling like CrAzY and constantly has something in his mouth. And I've always said he acted more like Chloe than Jacob and Chloe had the worst time teething! She would always run a high fever and act sick for a few days. So I'm hoping Jaxen is exactly like Chloe was when it comes to teeth.

♥♥♥♥ HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO JERRY & I ♥♥♥♥ Seven years of marital bliss and friendship! Here's looking forward to seven more!! I love you baby! Thank you for being my partner in crime, I can't wait to see what's next for us. It's us against the world!! I love you with all my heart.
Today started out nice and lazy! Kids didn't stir until 9ish, Chloe put Toy Story 3 in for her and Jacob so that me and Jaxen could get some more sleep! After listening to the dogs bark and the weather radio going off, I figured I better get up and get this day moving!!
After getting Jax up and feed and changed and cuddled and all the other fun things you do with a baby in the morning, I grabbed a quick shower before the kids and I headed out to get some grocery shopping done. Oh boy that was a chore!! Today I've had a very bossy 6-year-old, a non-listening 3-year-old, and a cranky 6-month-old whom I believe is teething! It's about made me want to pull out my hair.
We grabbed some Sonic for lunch and headed home to see if Daddy was up. And he was, Jerry was up and getting his homework for the week done. Kid's (semi) played quietly until Jerry was done then we all enjoyed a Reese's Peanut Butter Ice Cream Patty - Delicious! - before Jerry had to head off to work. Then some how between the kids / dogs / cats, something got spilled on my couch and I've had to spend the last 2 hours carpet cleaning the couch and while I was at it, the living room carpet. **See I told you I'm about ready to pull my hair out!!**
On top of all that, Jaxen is unbearably cranky today. Jerry was the only one who was making him happy and well, he's not here. And believe me Chloe, Jacob and I have all tried to make him happy. I finally gave up and gave him a small dose of Tylenol - in case it is teething - and rocked him to sleep. Thankfully, he is currently sleeping in my bed while I grab some much needed "ME" time while the carpet is drying and I'm waiting to put the room back together! I'm really just ready for a nap!
Well there are things to be done around here. . . tomorrow I must go back to work. . . BOO! 23 more WORKING days until my next vacation!! :o) I'm so ready! :o)
The day was suppose to start off with a 9am oil change, but that never happened. We slept in and totally missed the appointment. Which isn't a bad thing! We all got some much needed sleep.

Counting Down / 2 Days!
My vacation is almost here. And this might be my last update until vacation. I'm so totally excited. . . it's only a 5 day break from everyday life, but it's a much needed one that's for sure! I plan on enjoying my time with my kids and right now the only thing planned that isn't family related is Jaxen's doctor's appointment and my hour long Girl Scout meeting on Wednesday. . . but that's okay because we are getting ready for camping next month!
My family plans, still only penciled in because I don't want to HAVE to be anywhere, are tee ball, Zoo / Children's Farmstead, Library, Build-A-Bear, Water fun, Parks, and cookouts! I just want to get out of the house and have fun with my kids! After all it is summer vacation. . . and my next one is after Walmart's Inventory - July 30th thru August 5th. . . and that will be are last hoorah before Chloe's back in school.
Now time for you to enjoy some pictures from last weeks Tee-Ball Game. . . I love my family!
