Update. . .

Sorry it's been a while since I've updated! But if you know my life at all, you know how crazy it gets around Christmas. I worked 48 hours last week because of Black Friday, Chloe was begining to think I was never going to have a day off!

Thanksgiving was awesome, we went to mom and dad's house and stuffed ourselves full. Jerry got to go hunting with Dad. Kids got to hang out with Grandma, while Joanna and I hung out at Walmart! LOL. We didn't get to stay too late because I had to be at work the next morning before any person should even be thinking about getting up! But it was fun and glad it's over with. . . Now I just have to get Christmas over with!

About a week ago, Jacob was sick. He was throwing up one day, diareha the next, and then just a running nose. Then last Wednesday, Chloe came down with a horrid cough. And by Friday I there wasn't a change in the coughing. . . 12 hour Delsym was only lasting 5 hours. So Saturday when she woke up with her eyes crusted shut (a sure sign of pink eye), I took her to Walgreens Take Care Clinic (which I highly recommend!!) because I couldn't get the cough to stop and Chloe was getting upset that she was coughing so much! There were 4 people in front of us, and we only waited about 20 minutes before she was seen by the nurse practioner. Doctor looked her over and asked a lot of questions and said that I was treating the wrong thing. . . the problem wasn't the cough, it was the sinus infection and ear infection that was causing drainage to the back of her throat which was causing the cough! And on top of that she definately had conjuctivitis. So after leaving there (which no co-pay! They billed my insurance) we headed to Walmart to fill her two prescriptions because they were $4.00 there. (So I grand total of $8!!!! That's it, that's all I paid!) While we waited for them to fill the medicines, I took Chloe to see Santa. She was so excited, we are going to have to take Jacob next weekend. Back on the subject - Chloe is currently taking Amoxicillan twice a day, Eye drops in her eyes four times a day, and Delsym Cough Supressent twice a day. . . AND let me tell you she is a totally different kid, she definately feels better. We've been given the green light to let her return to school tomorrow.

Yesturday, the kids and I decorated the house for Christmas. We put up the tree, hung the lights, and hung the stockings. Glad that big chore is over with. . . Now if only I could keep Jacob and the kitten away from the Christmas tree!!

Happy Halloween!!

We hope everyone had a marvelous Halloween! I know we did, and boy was it a busy one! Amazingly, Saturday morning Chloe and Jacpb let me and Daddy sleep in! It's been a LONG time since they let us do that, which was really nice. I suppose it was abour 9:30 when I got up and fed the kids breakfast, followed by baths for both!

Jerry got up a little later, and he took over kid duty while I showered and got ready for the day. After all of us had breakfast and baths, we headed out to Walmart to get wrapping paper to wrap a wedding present in and a money order for our house payment. After Walmart we ran the house payment to Pleasant Hill and hung out with the McCrea's for a little while before heading back home.

At home, I scrabbled to get all the costumes together and scarfs and mittens for the kids, along with Wedding presents, camera and quite kid things to keep them occupied during the wedding ceremony. We locked the dogs inside the bathroom and headed out for the evening. We aren't sure how many trick-or-treaters Freeman has because we haven't stuck around here on Halloween, so we lock the dogs in the house to keep them from barking at everyone outside.

Mandy and Forrest's wedding was really nice, I enjoyed being there except the ceremony was 40 minutes late and Jacob got a little rowdy and Jerry had to take him outside. Poor Jerry, he wasn't in a good mood since he had to wait outside for us. But once we left to catch up with Dlexa he was fine. Dlexa and Ashlynne went with us trick-or-treating to a few houses in Raymore. . . just drove by a few of the people I work with because they wanted to see the kids.

We finally left Raymore around 7 and headed to Harrisonville to catch up with Jerry's sister's family. We trick-or-treated with them last year and the kids had a lot of fun together. After about another hour of trick-or-treating, we all went to dinner together at Applebee's. Dinner was fun! There were 4 adults and 5 kids. . . we all had a terrific time and the kids ate all their food. Dinner was probably my favorite part of the night because it was a ton of fun just sitting around talking and laughing. We didn't get home that night until after 10:30! It was a good thing that Day Light Savings ended and I could set the clocks back an hour before I went to bed because I needed the extra hour after the crazy day!

Today it was back to normal for everyone, I had to work this morning and Jerry had to work this evening. I'm ready for Monday though. . . Chloe needs to get back on her school schedule because she's driving me crazy!! :o) Got love a 4 year old!

Well I better get off of here and get Chloe is bed and the house cleaned up. . . Oh and tonight is trash night. . . :o( Don't forget to check out the pictures I posted on the other site!! Leave comments and tell us what you think!

I just wanted to get a post on her so everyone knows we are safe and well. Jerry took tomorrow night off to go trick or treating with us. . . and once again after a wedding and trick-or-treating to a few houses in Raymore, we will be trick-or-treating with Jerry's sister's family. . . So I'm sure I'll have pictures to share tomorrow!! Until then, I'll leave you with our pumpkins we carved. . .

Shopping in Osage Beach. . .

Today the guys skipped their morning hunt because of the rain, so everyone got to sit around and enjoy breakfast together. About 10ish, us girls (Mom, Grandma Kay, Chloe and I) plus Jacob went to Osage Beach to get some Christmas shopping done. Jacob got car sick on the way down there but after a quick stop to get some Benedryl and fresh air, he was fine. Kids were fairly good during the shopping. Jacob had his moments but eventually figured Mommy was going to win when I strapped him in the stroller. Shopping was fun. . . if it wasn't raining it would have been even better! I myself didn't get to much shopping but I gave mom lots of ideas!! :o)

Now we are cooking dinner and waiting for my sisters to get here and the guys to come in from hunting!! Then we will all enjoy Pork Roast, Green beans, corn, Potatos, and dinner rolls.

Jerry is sick -

He came home early from work last night because he was throwing up. He wasn't running a fever, and as far as I know, he hasn't ran one yet. I had to work today, and Jerry said he was well enough to take Chloe to preschool and watch Jacob. . . but he's been dragging all day today. I called him a couple of times to make sure all was good. And as soon as I got home this afternoon, he called in to work and went to bed. I think he's getting better because he can hold down solid food now. I just hope this isn't the start of an the flu bug in my household. . .

On another note, we figured out what is wrong with my Explorer. . . both O2 sensors are bad. Which is causing my gas mileage to be horrid. I use to go 310-350 miles on a tank of gas and lately I can only go 210. So it's not going to cost us as much as we originally thought. Now when I have an extra 100 bucks laying around the Explorer will be fixed!

Info on our new site

Okay, so I've spent the last couple of hours perfecting this site; hopefully, making it easier for you to use. I know most of my family is use to the other site so I'm going to explain a few things for you now. This is where you will read my family updates, and see a few of my favorite pictures - like the one below of Jacob. On the side (-->) you will see 4 smaller pictures. . . this is what you click to see the rest of the pictures. There are 2 options, you can click the individual picture and it will take you to it. Or you can click view albums and it will take you to my site where the photos are separated my months. Either way you will get there! (FYI- You might have to allow pop-up from the site to get it to work correctly.) Just like before you can leave your comments on the updates and you can leave comments on the pictures! :o) I hope it was all clear as mud. . . if you have any issues let me know. I'll do what I can to help!

One little Monkey Jumping . . .

My dare-devil son was at it again! While I was unloading the groceries from my vehicle, Jacob decided it was a good idea to jump off the foot stool and wack his head on the coffee table! It was horrible, he about gave me a heart attack! Of course, the inital impact made him cry and it was instantly bruised and swollen. As soon as I picked him up he was good. . . the crying stopped. I sat him down in the recliner and gave him a juice box so that I could look at his head and put ice on it! Ten minutes later Jake was running around the house chasing the dogs and picking on his sister. So after talking to my mom and after finding the toll free nurse hotline our work benefits offer off the internet, I decided he was absolutely fine. I didn't need to call the nurse line, but now I have it programmed in the phone memory for future reference. . . Knowing my son I'm sure to need it eventually! I kept him (& Chloe) up 5 hours after he hit his head just to be on the safe side. And Jerry woke him up about 6:30am, to make sure he was still okay. Except for the HUGE bump and bruise on his head you would never have know he did anything! Thank goodness for hard-headed boys!

So we've moved. . .

Welcome family! This is our newest home on the internet. I've had this little blog for a while and I seem to be able to update this one faster and easier than I can the kids' babyhomepages. With life happening and kids growing, it's so much easier for me to upload pictures and type an update for both kids. So welcome and I hope you enjoy your stay!

Love,
